Gartner predicts that in 2019 the share of network traffic will exceed 80%. According to Let’s Encrypt research, it already represents more than a half of all connections. However, the SSL/TLS traffic, which is supposed to increase network security, has also become a threat. Gartner report states that almost a half of targeted attacks is currently performed using encryption, which makes them hardly visible in standard analysis.
Limited performance of available SSL/TLS security solutions allows them to protect IT infrastructure only against north and south perimeter penetration attempts, leaving the internal network completely out of control. Meanwhile, modern malware poses the biggest threat while spreading within the network – it propagates there, causing leaks or data destruction. And this often bypassing the typical stage of penetration through the main gateway to the Internet. Therefore, it is necessary to move the defense tools to the inside of every IT system.
That’s why over the past few months we have been working on creating a new Wheel Lynx Infinity model – an SSL/TLS decryptor with up to 50 Gbps of throughput, that can handle up to 16 firewall, IPS, anti-malware, DLP or sandbox appliances. This is the highest performance of SSL/TLS traffic inspection in the world, nearly three times better than competitive products.

Implementing Wheel Lynx Infinity allows you to:

  • simplify network infrastructure,
  • replace several decrypting appliances with one,
  • build clusters of analytical devices to reach required performance,
  • customize your security architecture to support the latest standards(such as TLS v 1.3 protocol).
